PERSONAL NOTES
Lieutenant and Mrs. W. L. Ttolleston, who have spent four months in Wellington with Mrs. Hector Kolicstou, Heretaunga, will leave by the Wanganclla on Thursday on their return to Kenya. Mrs. Lan Duncan will leave Wellington tomorrow at daybreak by the lonic for a trip to England. Mrs. Charles Levin, Karori, will leave Wellington on Wednesday evening for Auckland, where she will be the guest of Mrs. Lan MacEwan, Ecinuera. Mrs. Andrew, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning, and will leave by the lonic at daybreak tomorrow for England, where she will join her daughter, Mrs. Geoffrey Myers. Miss Edith Thompson, C.8.E., who is touring New Zealand in tlie interests of the Overseas Settlement for British Women, is at present in Wellington. Miss Thompson is a hockey enthusiast, and she witnessed the ladies' seven-a-side tournament at Karori Park on Saturday. For many years she was president of the All-England Women's Hockey Association. On Saturday the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association gave a dinner in her- honour at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. Newell will return to Wellington next week, after a trip to Australia. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Peacock, Miss Margot Peacock, and Mr. Dick Peacock will leave Wellington tomorrow by the lonio for England, where Mr. _ Dick Peacock will continue his studies at Cambridge University. They will bo accompanied l)y Mrs. Rita Hobson, who has spent some months in New Zealand. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Sandston, who have resided in Wellington for the past two years, will leave by the Wanganella on Thursday for an extended trip to Australia. , Mrs. M. Trott, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Hansen, Miramar, will return to Auckland next week. Mr. ana Mrs. C. E. Green, St. Albana, Christehureh, returned south on Saturday evening, after a three months' tour of the North. Island. Mrs. Martin-Innes, Wellington, is paying a visit to Auckland. Mrs. C. jST. Shawe and. Miss M. Shawo (Auckland), and Mrs. j." Greig (Christchurch) are among the guests at the Midland Hotel. Mrs. and Miss Corbett, and Miss N. Thompson, Melbourne, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Miss E. H. Davies (Shanghai), Mrs. L. M. Park (London), Miss V. Livingston (Dunedin), Miss B. Horrocks, and] Miss M. Deyden (Auckland) are stay-j ing at the Hotel St. George.
