WHAT A PROFIT!
Is there in New Zealand a stock medicinal mixture which, sells at two guineas, while .the market value of its contents is threepence? There is one such in New South Wales, according to a statement made to a conference of Pasture Protection Boards by Mr. Max Henry (chief veterinary surgeon), who supported a motio» brought forward by the chairman, endorsing the action of the Ministers of-Agriculture of various States in agreeing to introduce legislation governing the sale of these articles. No objection, said Mr. Henry, was made to reputable mixtures made by reputable firms. It was because they knew exploitation was taking place that the veterinary enmmitteo recommended legislation, for which there was precedent in Queensland, Western Australia, and Tasmania. Delegates Unanimously approved.
