TRIBUTE TO HIS WORK
Members of the Eeserves Committee of the City Council met this afternoon, and after paying tributes to the memory of their late chairman, adjourned the meeting until Friday morning. All members of the committee -spoke in terms of high appreciation of Mr. Meadoweroft as a councillor, chairman, and citizen, of his genial manner, and his essentially high ideals in all that he undertook. The meeting passed a vote of deep sympathy with Mrs. Meadowcroft and family, and of regret that Wellington had lost so valuable and conscientious a citizen.
