INDOOR BOWLS
A rink representing the Pctonc Druids -won the second annual indoor bowling tournament of the Hutt Valley Friendly Societies on Saturday. The i I team consisted of Mchancy, Parker, I Condon, and Lawrence, and in the linal it defeated a rink of its lodge mates, skipped by Williams, by 11-2. Before tho tournament, the many competitors were welcomed by Mr. TJ. A. Noble, president, of tho Hutt Valley Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association. Air. J. Kerr declared the tournament, open, and after Miss Eyder had thrown up tho first jack, he bowled tho first shot. There were about twenty rinks competing. Tho standard of play was high, and tho tournament -was smoothly conducted by the honorary secretary, Mr. Len Price. In the evening the Potono Friendly Societies held a successful social and dance.
