DAIRY BOARD POLL
Mr. D. Le C. Morgan, secretary of the North Taranaki branch of the Farmers' Union, has received from' the Dairy Board an explanation of the eys- ; tern of voting in the forthcoming Dairy : Board elections, says the "Taranaki . Herald." . ■ The communication states that suppliers are grouped according to the factories they supply. They vote for tha candidate they prefer. W4ien the voting papers are in the votes cast for the . various candidates by the suppliers to , each factory are totalled, and the candidate receiving the greatest number of votes is allotted the vote of the particular factory. . The voting strength of factories -i« settled as follows:—One vote for every 20 tons or part thereof up to 500 tons exported is allotted to. butter factories. After the 500 tons export mark has been reached every additional 30 tons N carries an extra' vote. The' voting powers of cheese factories are computed on tho same basis, except that two tons of cheese are computed as one ton of butter.
