WINTER HELP
FOR SALVATION ARMY The urgent needs of the Salvation Army for food, clothing, and boots for distressed families, as recently set forth' in "The Post." were fully appreciated by Mr. T. Mirams, in .charge of the distribution of the Mayor's Belief Fund, and Mr,: T.- E. ;Corlcill, on. behalf of the interehureh committees of Wellington, who, accompanied by Commissioner Cunningham and Brigadier Macaulay, paid a visit to some of tha centres of Salvation Army activities yesterday,' The " Mount Cook School, where hot soup is given to the children at noon, by the collaboration of tha Mayor's Relief Fund, Salvation Army, and.the Homo and School Association, and the; Buckle Street Home, where cheap meals are given, were visited. Learning of the need, for leather at tho Army's boot shop . at. Miramar, Mr. Mirams promised ■to contribute two sides.of leather from, the Mayor's Fund.
