LABORIOUS EFFORT ON SAFE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. All day yesterday burglars must have been sawing the steel hiuge and fittings off a safe in the office of the Walton Plumbing Company in Gloucester Street. Three hacksaw blades belonging to the firm were used in the process and were spoiled. The burglars succeeded in this part of their laborious task, but then they could not lever open the door, and had to leave fhe job half done. Only shop fittings were stolon.
