HANDMADE POTTERY AT KIRKCALDIE'S. handmade in any work -*- appeals to all lovers of Art. Especially is this so of handmade Pottery. Every phase reflects to a large extent the personality of the maker. The graceful shapes of the hand-painted designs have each, for a time, been the subject of creative thought and inspiration. Though many pieces may appear to be similar to the casual observer, a closer inspection will reveal the true individuality, and character. Kirkcaldie's have a fine range of handmade pottery consisting of Jugs, Candlesticks, Vases, and Bowls, all are signed, pieces, tho work of an Englishman named E. Radford. They are, of very deep cream and light ' green grounds . with conventional designs of orange-red poppies aud green leaves. The smooth rounded outlines and dull glaze surface are • particularly attractive, while, the '"Master" touch is noticeable in . the flower-like shaping of the smaller pieces. These works of art make- very attractive decorations for the modern home, and the prices are a secondary consideration when one ■ realises the amount of time aud thought that must be given to each individual piece. ' ' The china section is situated on the First Floor at KIRKCALDIE AND STAINS, LTD.
