OVER '1000 MEN WANTED

(By Telegraph.) ' (Special to the "Evening Post") CHRISTCHUECH May 28. A big demand for unemployed labour is being made this winter by the State Forest Service for' development schemes in both Islands, and the Minister of Employment (the Hon. A. Hamilton) stated in Christchurch on Saturday that the Department had notified tho Unemployment Board that it required between one thousand and two thousand men for forestry relief works. Of these between five hundred and six hundred were required for the Auckland district. The men. would mainly be single, and would go into camps in. various parts of the Dominion.' ■
