EXTREMELY BITTER
BULL! BY-ELECTION
LANG'S FIGHT FOR LIFE
WILLIS PICKED TO WIN
United Tress Association—Ey Electric Teletraph—Copyright; (Received May 27, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Tho Bulli by-clcction campaign has become extremely bitter. Mr. A. C. Willis, a former Now South. Wales Agent-General, and now a miners' candidate in a typical coal-mining- constituency, having come into conflict with the, Lang forces, is hailed.by Mr. Lang as a top-hatted gentleman, fresh from tho halls of Westminster. The Press is unanimous in saying that the challenge to Langism has come sooner thau it was expected, and Mr. Lang is making thb Bulli campaign a fight for his own political existence. He will spend the best part of next week in "that electorate on behalf of Mr. Sweeney, the candidate selected to carry tho inner Labour group banner. However, it is announced that Mr. Willis commands the entire following of tho Miners' Federation, which, is regarded as certain to, win him tho seat.
