ACTIVITIES PLANNED
Two resolutions from the Invercar» gill Convention were discussed at. a recent meeting of the W.C.T.U. Central Union. Mrs. Perryrnan (president) presided. The first resolution was "That the central union be asked: to set up a committee to report to the next convention on film investigation." and the second asked members to work for the increase of the membership and the circulation of the "White Ribbon" paper. Both resolutions produced helpful discussions. Two members w'era appointed on the film investigation com* mittee with power to add to their number. In regard to the "second resolution" it was decided that women's church committees be approached as they were last year. .... Final arrangements for "shop day* for the Y.W.C.A. were made. . •; ■ Mrs. Hoult reported that the union* date for helping to prepare and serve a soup meal to unemployed seamen at the British Sailors' Society would,be the third Thursday in the month during the winter. • A cordial invitation was received from the 1.0. E. Lodgo to be present at a jubilee celebration on May'"3l.l Nine members offered to visit, at; th» hospital from May 22 to June 2. Durinjp the afternoon Mrs. Parrant sang dfelightfully. The afternoon tea was provided by Mrs. Jamieson., . ■
