PROFITS FROM ICE CREAM
The directors of 'Peters American Delicacy Company, Ltd., largely ice cream, have issued a statement setting out the positions of the associate companies, Peters Arctic Delicacy C 0.,. Ltd. (Brisbane), Peters American Delicacy Co. (Western Australia), Ltd., and Peters American Delicacy Co. (Victoria), Ltd., at March 31. The statement compares the bank position of each at July 1, 1932, with those at t^e, end of the "winter period," and at March 31 last. The Queensland company, the directors state, showed a cash improvement during the summer period to March 31, of £26,452, having at that date a bank credit (including cosh in hand) of £7370. The Western Australian company, with -a credit of £4550. showed an improvement of £17,726, and the "Victorian, with a credit of £15,007, an improvement of £23,497.
Since the suspension of the gold standard'by Great Britain in September, 1931, vast quantities of hoarded gold have come to. light in different parts of the world.
