AUSTRALIA AND CEYLON.
The Australian Minister of Commerce (Mr. P. H. Stewart) states that according to official 'trade reports from Ceylon, Australia's export trade to that colony in 1932 was Valued at £370,000,- which was £181,000 less than Australia's imports from Ccyloti in that year. Whereas Australia's imports from Ceylon-are confined to a few items such as tea, cocoa beaus, rubber, spices, and. fibres, exports to that colony are of a varied nature. Some of last year's shipments were flour, 356,194cwt, butter (frozen) 338,4831b, butter (tinned), 53,8081b, milk products 379,0001b, biscuits 29,1001b, fresh fruits 10,150cwt, dried fruits 2470cwt, canned fruits 265ewt, .jams and preserves 950cwt, 'bran and pollard 4160cwt, oats 2750cwt, hay and straw 3730ewt, potatoes 2417cwtj and frozen .meat 11,430cwt.
