HANDICAPS FOR TOMORROW

The Poneke Amateur Cycling Club is 1 hold two races tomorrow, starting at 2.30 p.m., one, an IS miles event for senior riders, and the other, a nine miles event for juniors. The course for the senior contest will be two ' circuits of the Seatouu, tunnel route. The junior event will be over one circuit of the same route; Salek Street, Kilbirnie, will be the starting point, and the fiuisu will be at Miramar Wharf. Handicaps are as follows:— Senior.—R. A meeting of the ■Wellington Cycling Centre on Wednesday decided that the provincial championship be held over 100 kilometres, under Olympic conditions, and that the New Zealand championship, which will probably bo held in Wellington this season, be under the same conditions and over a similar distance (approximately 63 miles). It was decided that a junior championship over 15 n^iles be staged a week after the provincial champion* ship to be held on September 9, and that blue ribands be awarded the successful competitors in each event. The meetingl agreed that application be mad© to the City Council for the uso of the Basin Reserve on October 1-1, for the finish of the) annual Palmerston North-Wellington event, the ago limit for this event to be 17, as was the case last year.
