Lord Derby, who presided, exhibited a sheaf of congratulatory messages from all parts of the Empire, including one from the King, and others from Sir Isaac Isaacs, Governor-General of Australia, and Lord Bledisloe, of New Zealand. , The menu consisted of .'such exotics as bird's neat and shark's' fin soup, but AVelsh and New Zealand lamb and Scotch, beef formed the, backbone of the luncheon. ,''...<■
