RADIO TOULOUSE DESTROYED
Eadio Toulouse, one of the principal "broadcasting stations in France, was destroyed by fire early last month. It ■was suggested' that the fire resulted from a cigarette dropped by a bandsman. Most, if not all of the apparatus was lost or badly damaged. About 9.30 p.m. the Toulouse Orchestra was ready to start a concert, when the microphones were reported to be out of order. It was decided to abandon the performance, and as the members, of- the orchestra were leaving the building they saw flames break through the roof. .. a .'.. .'. .-.-.: . The fire -brigade arrived, hnf.tliß flames spread with great rapidity, and within half an hour the whole facade oi the building, which is 60 feet long; was in flames.
