PRECEDENT FOR BUTTER
(Received May 25, 1 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. , Britain's request to Australia and New Zealand for milk restriction asks that tho exports for 1933 should not exceed thoso for 1932. Denmark and Holland have agreed to the principle of a 20 per cent, reduction, but arc dosirous of equitable treatment when the situation is .re-examined.. The fact-that Britain was .asking from foreigners a considerably higher } restriction than from the Dominions has pleased the Dominion representatives, j [who hope that this will be taken as a precedent when a voluntary reduction of the exports of butter and cheese was sought.
