MEETING AT SEATOUN
The May;'meeting of the :Seatou» I branch/ of the' ■ League, of Mothers was presided over by Mrs. Alex. Smith. All present were much interested; in an. address given by Miss Davis (social secretary of the Salvation Army), who told of her seven years' work in the slums of London, where the Army's first home for girls was inaugurated by a humble but noble woman. The speaker described how the work had grown, to the provision of four different classes of homes—one for the aged, one for the wayward, one for the children, and one for the mothers and babes (the last" being their greatest responsibility). By visiting these different institutions the happiness of the inmates was clearly revealed. Mrs. J. F. O'Leary proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker, which was carried with acclamation.; Two charming songs sung by Miss 6. Warring were greatly enjoyed.
