GAOL BREAKERS PUNISHED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ■ GISBORNE, This Day. Handcuffed together, aud closeljj guarded, th ( fe two men who escaped from the Gisborno gaol on April 29, Norman Alfred O'Meara and Wilkia Rainsdon Avery, appeared before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., and. pleaded guilty to sevoral charges of theft and breaking prison. They were sentenced to one months' imprisonment em each, theft charge, and tho hearing of tht charge of gaol-breaking ■was cleferred^.
