The Indian Congress now announces an extension of the suspension of civil disobedience for six weeks, but despite Mr. Gandhi's appeal the Government of India states that the situation is unaltered and, unless Congress fulfils without qualification the conditions previously laid down, the release of political prisoners will not be entertained. •-
