The Canterbury Rugby Union decided last night to bring various matter* concevning :Kaufutfy Shield■■ challenge* before the annual meeting of the New Zealand Uhiou. , • Members pointed- out" that there was nothing, in the rules governing the shield to prevent a team from, aay, North of Auckland, travelling to the other end of New Zealand -and- loading; all the expenses of the trip ,on the, gate-takings of tho shield match. JLt a time when a visiting team could not undertake the financing of an ordinary torn- the clangor of suca a practice reacting adversely on the sJiield-holdets was stressed.
