WINNERS BY PETERWAH
The northern trotting trainer-driver, W. Broughton, had a royal innings at Cambridge over the weekend. He drove four wipners the first dsy,< and on Monday he added three more races to hw bag. On Saturday he was responsible for the preparation afld driving of Kohewan, Eleawah, and Enawah, who won three on end, and the last-named subsequently came out and won the big .sprint. On Monday Broughton repeat^ with Enawali in the big event, and in addition he was behind Te Mahanga and Our-Peter when they [scored. In accomplishing this fine teat Broughton equalled the performance of Takanini trotting trainer _\ J. Smith, who also scored seven- wins at the Thames Meeting five weeks earlier. Peterwah, - who' is still racing in tho south, was the sire-of Enawah, Eleawah, and Kohewah. Doubtless these successes for the Auckland sportsman, Mr. W. Johnston, will cause him to review his decision to retire from trotting ownership on account of the introduction of the win-and-place betting system.
