The outside of tDe course proper-was used, but fast trials were out of the question. '"''■' The best five furlongs was credited to Clara Bow, who ran the distance in lmin 10 l-ssee. . ■''; The Smuggler and Sailing Home went well. The latter showed up to greater advantage. Both are very well. ' Consono was going much better than Young Sentinel over five furlongs in lmin 13 3-ssec. Miss. Redpwa, finished too! strongly for First' Money over six furlongs in lmin 26Jsec. , Toreador, Jack-a-Dandy, Tenite, Obligement, aiid Steeton did serviceable tasks, and are all in excellent order, particularly Toreador. •
