SHANGHAI, May 8. Owing <to the Chinese ignoring the Japanese ultimatum, to vacate districts east of the Luan Biver by Saturday night, hostilities have again broken out^in the vicinity, of Chinwangtao and Pei'taiho. - . A Japanese armoured train, after a long artillery duel, forced a Chinese train to retire, upon, which the Japanese train reoccupied Peitaiho. There are also heavy artillery engagements at Tuning and Chienan, towns -within the Great Wall -west of Peitaiho,. while Japanese aeroplanes have renewed their bombing activities.
