(Received May 9, 2 p.m.)
LONDON, May 8,
In a May Day procession at Northampton the Independent Labour Party displayed a tableau representing a boy of twelve crucified on a huge gilt cross with the words, "Sacrificed, to Capital," emblazoned beneath. The police intervened and threatened .to stop the continuance of the procession unless the disgusting and revolting crucifixion was removed. The ban was obeyed, but the Independent Labour- Party complain . that the police exceeded their duty. It was not their job to bow to a religious complex. ■ ■
