SKIING EVENTS
SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) • TIMABU, May 8. - The secondary school and college; ski championships are being held at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, this week. The boys' championships commence on Thursday and the girls' next week. Eleven boys' schools in the . South Island and nine girls'.schools, eight in the South and one in the North, will be represented. Parties of boys are now assembled at the Hermitage. The first few days will be spent in training for the, championships and other events to be. conducted towards the end of the week. . The. event is the first of dts kind ever held in New Zealand, and it is hoped to make the meeting an annual fixture.
