FEW SHIPS MOVING
There were nearly thirty coastal and overseas vessels in port today, and there was practically no movement in 'arid out of the harbour. The trawler Futurist left port at 7.50 a.m. for Cook Strait,-, and the. Tamahine left; at' 2.45 p.m. for Picton. ' ' ',' Six of the Union' Company's vessels, including the Monowai, were laid up today. Four of Holm and Company's fleet are at present in the harbour, also three of the Canterbury Steam Company's vessels. In addition, two of Dalgety and Company's and two of Johnston and1 Company's vessels are held up. The overseas vessels in port are1 the Brisbane Maru, Kangitata, and Mahia, and there are also the Government steamer Matai and H.M.S. Waka.kura; :. . ■ ■. ■ ■'■•■■.
