In the,final of the women's single* at the Bournemouth: hard court tournament, Miss D. Bound (England) beat Miss H. Jacobs (U.S.A.), 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. In the final of the men's tingle*, "P. Perry, the holder, beat H. W. Austin* 2-6, 7-5, 7-5, 6-2. , Miss Jacobs is the present Amerietjj singles champion and first ranking player in the U.S.A.
