TOLL OF TORNADO
HAVOC IN SOUTHERN STATES
NEW YORK, May 6. A message from Birmingham (Alabama) states that spring storms are causing great destruction from the Mississippi Valley to the Atlantic seaboard. \ A toil of forty known dead was left in the wake of a storm, raising to nearly 200 the total lives taken by tornadoes in the Southern States since March.
