LONDON, May 6. The Eugby League -(Northern Cnion) cup final was played at Wembley today, Huddcrsficfd defeating Warrington by 21 points to 1". / Fifty thousand people wcro present, including the Prince of Wales, who acted for the. King. Thirty-six special trains brought the Northern invasion to see the match. Huddcrsfield 's victory was chiefly due to Bowkctt's six magnificent goals from all angles. AVarrington were faster generally and superior in an overwhelming majority of the scrums, but the stand-off half, Oster, -was ineffective, and-the team's goal-kicking was poor, three penalties being missed in tho first ton minutes. Nevertheless, Warrington • led by .10 points to fiat-half-time. The second spell saw a terrific struggle and deadly tackling. The Australians, Mills and Markham, playing for Hiidd'ersfield, were very fasti Mills scored a spectacular try at a critical-moment. The New ZealanderJ. Seeling, son of the old All Black, was prominent among thfi Warrington forwards. Tho Prince of Wales presented the cup to the winners.
