Masters) is expected to return to Wellington this evening from Stratford. The Minister of Labour (the Hon. A. Hamilton) is visiting Auckland. Mr. Robert Bell will be a passenger by the Wanganella to Sydney. / Mr. L. Tingey is leaving by the Wanganella on Wednesday for a visit to Australia. During his absence Mr. Percy Tingey, of .Waiiganui, will take charge of the ■Wellington branch of B. and E. Tingey and Co.'; The death took' place" at' the Master* ton Hospital last. Friday of-Mr. H. W. liempton, 2n early settler of the Carterton district, at the age of 75 years. The deceased had been in indifferent health for somo time. Ho ■ had followed farming all his life, and took an active interest in all matters pertaining to the land. He was an enthusiastic member of the Farmers' Union and a wejl-'known figure at the provincial conferences.
