SMALL BOY DROWNED
While playing with two othor boya on the watermains and their supports beneath the pipe bridge near the mouth of the Lower Hutt Eiver at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, Konald Frank Little, aged ninfe and a half, fell into the river and was drowned. He could swim a little, but after he had drifted about one hundred yards down stream ho was seen to sink. Boats put off to search, and dragging operations were carried on after dark last night and again today, fcut the body was not recovered. There was a slight fresh in tho river at" the time of. the fatality, and the discoloration of the' water hindered the search. The boy lived with-his parents, Mr. and Mrs. It.
