FLYING CONTEST
Conditions fqr flying, were almost ideal on Saturday afternoon when the Wellington Aero Club held the first of a series of monthly competitions arranged with the object of .stimulating interest amongst club members during the winter months. There was a: good attendance of club members and their friends at Rongotai Aerodrome. The contest took the form of a landing competition for the Meatchem Cup. The competition was restricted *to "A" and "Endorsed A" club-trained pilots and resulted in ' T. Paviour-Smith being placed first, R. Gay second, and A. W. Nisbet third.
