AIRWOMAN IN POLAND

AMY, STICKS TO STORY

APOLOGY DUE FROM AERO CLUB

LOXDOjNT, May 5. Mrs. Amy "Mollisou (Amy Johnson) declares that every word regarding the, incident in Poland was true. , Unless tho Aero Club'apologises for its uuwarrantable 'public', reprimand sho is prepared to take action. Mrs. Mollison says that the Acvo Club has no authority to issue a reprimand. If ■ official censure were due it should be from the Air' Ministry. The Royal Aero Club, it was reported yesterday, censured a recent article by Mrs. Amy Mollison in a Sunday newspaper, containing a "somewhat lurid description of a forced landing in Poland." The Polish Aero Club protested to the British club, which had written to Mrs. Mollison to the effect that it was satisfied that her statement was baseless and could not accept tho explanation that the facts were distorted without her knowledge as relieving her of responsibility for articles signed by herself. "Tho Club," added the letter, "counts it a matter of honour that misrepresentations shall not lie returned for hospitality." Tlie club, it states, was induced only by the gravity of the affront lo Polish airmen to inform Mrs. Mollison of its disapprobation.
