Thd Frond) Ambassador (M. Laboulaye) informed the Under-Secretary (Mr. Phillips) at the State Department on Tuesday that France Avould agree to a tariff truce preliminary to the World Economic Conference provided it contained a clause permitting tariff changes in case of the depreciation of the pound or the United States dollar.
