ARGENTINE MEAT EXPORTS

(Received May 3, 1 p.m.) LONDON, May 2. The Argentine agreement provides for consultation by the chief moat exporting countries, ' including the Dominions, in event of a reduction of Argentine chilled beef becoming necessary. Also the imports of Argentine chilled beef will not be reduced more than 10 per cent, below the imports i for the year ended June 30, 1032, unless ] the imports of chilled beef, apart from reasonable experimental shipments or frozen meat from, all meat-exporting countries, including tho Dominions, ia also reduced by a percentage equalling the percentage of tho reduction of Argentine chilled beef below 90 per cent, of the imports in the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 1932. Britain undertakes not to restrict imports of frozen beef, mutton, and lamb in excess of those specified in Schedule H to the Anglo-Australian Agreement of August 20, 1932, unless the Dominions' imports are restricted. Argentine sterling bonds issued at 4 per cent, arc repayable within twenty years.
