NEW YORK, May 2. Communists and other radicals throughout the Western Hemisphero celebrated May Day in the traditional j manner by holding mass meetings and j making speeches. The, proceedings' were unusually free of violence, but the J dn'y was greeted at Chicago by a series of five bombings in mid-city areas. | About 150,000 dollars of damage was done, mainly smashed, windows. Thoro were no casualties. • :
