BRITISH DECLARATION
(Received May 2, 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The British Government has declared I that it will strictly carry out the Ottawa Agreement, and will adjust th« excess imports of foreign bagged beef into England by reductions to be mad* during the remaining quarters of th«, year. Mr.: Stewart, Minister of Commerce, I has received this information from Mr. Bruce, Minister in London. Mr. Stewart stated that the position, as it was now;' defined by the Britisn Government, fully met the objection* raised by Australian meat exporters, and producer* throughout Australia might, rest assured that both the letter and spirit ot the Ottawa Agreement would. be ol» served by the British Government. .
