PKOPOSAL TO JAPAN
FAVOURABLY CONSIDERED
TOKIO, May 1. Japan is favourably considering a proposal by Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, to Mr. Matsudaira for an Anglo-Japanese industrial conference in London to discuss Empire-wide trade relations. The Government also generally approves the American proposals for a. World-wide tariff truce.
