United Press Association— By < Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Eeceived April 27, 12.30 p.m.) ' . LONDON, April 26. On tho second day of the Newmarket Second /Spring Meeting the following was tho result of the season's iirst classic: — ...... V ■ ' TWO THOUSAND GUINEAS STAKES, 'a sweepstakes of 100 soys each, with 2000gs added; second 10 per cent. and third 5 per cent: of whole stakes; for three-year-old entire colts and fillies; 1 mile. . Princcsso de Faucigny-Lucingo et .. Coligny's Bodosto •« 1 Lord Carnarvon's b c King Salmon, by Salmon-Trout—Malva .... 2 H.H.Aga Khan's gr c Gino, by Tetratema—Teresina 3 Twenty-seven started. Won by' a length, three-quarters of a length-be-tween second and third. - The season's first classic winner, Eodosto, as far as can be ascertained at present, did not race in England last season. In any vcase he was not engaged in any of the important two-year-old events. It is probable that he is a French colt and did his previous racing in France. His breeding also at prosent is not obtainable. His owner (Princesso de FaueignyLucigne et Coligny) is' a member of one of the families of the old Savoy aristocracy ("Ancienne maison seigneuriale de Savoie").[ She engaged two of her horses for this year's classics, Rodosto being entered in the Two Thousand and in the • Derby, and Madame Putiphar in the One Thousand and in the Oaks. Neither is in the St. Leger, nor apparently in-any other early nomination races.
