PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
The British Dpminlon Films' production, "The Flag •„Lieutenant,"- has been so successful that iU'- season at the1 Paramount Theatre has been extended for-another week. Thero Is no-doubt that the public appreciate production of this nature because'they are so thoroughly British and akin to NciV Zealand sentiment. Tho Navy Is known as the "silent service," but "Tho Flag Lieutenant'/ speaks well for It. Henry Edwards Is , the star. He is ■ cast ..'as Dicky Lascelles, who had a brilliant war record, but because of- his irresponsible nature ho is not taken seriously in the service. He is. sent as Interpreter- on a destroyer, to quell a native rising, and although ho performs a great deed of lftrolsm, he prefers to give the credit for It. to a friend: ,By a queer twist of late he Is'accused of cowardice. He Is loved by the admiral's daughter (the part is charmingly played by Anna Neagle), and she reta ns her faith in him. However, an official inquiry was not necessary. Many of tho scenes were taken on board a warship—indeed, but for_the fighting, scenes, all were on board a, warship. The scene* in the fort thrill the younger memb*rs of the audienre—for fights always thrill The acting li of a high standard. There was a. largo audience last night. The supports are excellent. /
