JUNIOR RED CROSS WORK
At the recent monthly meeting of the Wellington branch of the Bed Cross Society a report was received from tho secretary of the Junior Red Cross referring to the visit of Mrs. Redman Barry. Mrs. Barry is keenly interested in Junior Red Cross work in New South Wales, where excellent work is at present being done on behalf of under-nourished children. The Junior Red Cross iv Sydney conducts health camps for these children, having their own property and raising their own finance. Most of the Red Cross organisations throughout the Dominion are at present concentrating on raising funds against the prospective heavy demands upon their resources during the coming winter. Many functions have been arranged, and_ considerable success lias attended their efforts. Some of the functions—small thouzh they are—have raised as much as £7 lbs, and other organisations such as Dr. Barnardo's Homes, have received help from the juniors. Groceries and vegetables have also been distributed.
