STUD. OF OAKS WINNERS
Starmistj who was purchased by the Riccarton trainer, F. Holmes, at the sale of Mr. J. R, McKenzie's horses this week, was secured on behalf of Mr. A. Louisson, arid x she will be mated with Nightmareh next season. She is by Aut.umnus from Warstep's sister, Stardancer, who has been a great producer, her progeny including Limelight, Starland, and Paperchase, also Spotlight (the dam of Argentic). Starmist herself was a useful stayer, a winner of the New Zealand Oaks. Mr. Louisson is getting a;good stud together, Starmist being the third Oaks winner he has purchased. One. of these is. Pride, sister to Aut °biography, Wayward, and Jaloux being by Sutala from Egotism, by Demosthenes from. Conceit, by Bonifprm from the imported mare feady Wayward 11. The other is Praise, a sister to Commendation, being by Limond from the imported mare Eulogy,, the dam also of Humbug and Epitaph, and the granddam of many big winners. On breeding lines these three Oaks winners should do well at the stud.
