ACTUALLY OVERHEARD
The philosopher was in a bus speeding down the i'ulham Road in London. "There's nothing but hospitals in this road," said the gloomy conductor. "A road of disease, that's what it is." "A road of healing, rather," answerer] tho philosopher, "and of making whole again; a road of harbours for ships which would otherwise be wrecked."
