'A quiet wedding was solemnised recently at. St. Augustine's Church, Potone, when John William, son of Mr. G. B. Bogg, of Petone (late of Great Yarmouth, England), was married to Dulcie May, twin daughter ; of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reid, also of Petone. .Tho Rev. G. V. Gerard officiated. - The bride,' who was escorted by her father, wore a charming ankle-length frock of ivory-needle.-thread lace, with puff sleeves, ,and a double frill at the hipline. She carried a sheaf of blue delphiniums, her embroidered' veil, which formed a train, being caught at the* sides with sprays of orange blossom. Miss Nell.'Bugg (sister of the bridegroom) attended the bride, wearing a smart frock of .delphinium blue crepe marocaiu, made on fitting lines, with a coatee. , She wore a smart straw hat to tone and. carried a bouquet vof lemon roses and autumn leaves. A blue crystal necklace, the gift of tho bridegroom, was also. worn. The- little flower-girl, Judith Reid' (niece of the bride), made a charming picture in a long frock of shell-pink georgette, with aceorclcon pleating at tho neck and hem, and bandeau to. tone. She carried a posy of pink' -rosebuds. Mr. Arthur Eerd: (twin brother of the bride) was best man. ■ A guard of honour was formed by Wolf Cubs of the Eaukawa and Rcwarewa packs of; St. Augustine's Group, with which the bride arid groom are associated. An archway was made of the totem^p'oles and [the pack flag, and through this,they passed.' A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, at which only'relatives and a few old friends were present. Mrs.' Eeid received her guests, | wearing a smart frock of navy marocain, with hat to tone. Her-bouquet | was of miniature dahlias and autumn' leaves. ■ • • I Many beautiful gifts xvfcro received, j among them being a dinner set, the | gift of the bride's office associates, aj sot of cutlery from the staff of Kirk-. caldie and Stains, ,Ltd. (a gift to the | bridegroom), and a crystal water jug | from the boys of the three Scout troops i and members of the Eover Scout crew. After the reception the couple left for the north, the brido wca/ing- a smart frock of brown figured silk marocain, with hat and tailored coat to match. Their future home will be at Lower Hutt.
