ROBBERY AT ARMS
A DUNEDIN ATTEMPT
TAXI-DRIVER HELD UP
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The latest development in "the crime epidemic was an attempt 'by two men to rob a taxi-driver named Thomas Hyde, on a lonely road near Wakari last night. Hyde was engaged by two young men to drive them about a mile past Wakari in a lonely spot. He was ordered by one of the men, who presented a revolver, to get out, and while the other man was searching his pockets Hyde struck out,' whereupon both decamped. They got nothing but a matchbox, though Hyde had £6 on him. - . The police have a'good description of both young men. •
