(Special to "The Evenlno Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Mayor of Palmerston North. {Mr. A. E. Mansford) is returned unopposed for the coming term of office. No election will be necessary for the two country members of the WellingtonHarbour Board, Messrs: M. A. Elliott and W. L. Fitzherbert, the sitting members, being the only, candidates. The same situation applies to' Palmcnston's representatives on the ManawatuOroua Power Board, which has just come through a stormy year, and Palmerston has shown its faith in its three sitting members, Messrs. J. •A. Nash, M. A. Elliott, and J. Hodgens, by returning them unopposed. For the. nine seats on the City Council there are fifteen nominations —a full citizens' ticket and-six Labour nominees. The citizens' ticket comprises Messrs. E. L. C. Aitchison, W. .H. Brown, W. B. Cameron, H. B. Free, A. A. Langley, W. Mouldey, W. B. Tennent, G. Tremaine, and Colonel J. H. Whyte. The Labour nominees are Messrs. J. Hodgens (Deputy-Mayor), V. Christensen, W. F. Cutler, P. T. Eobinson, E. Wanklyn, and A. A. Yule. Three members of the present council, Messrs. W. L. . Fitzherbert, G. C. Keeble, and J. MeLeod, are not seeking re-election. For the Palmerston North Hospital Board, the sitting.members, Mrs. L. A. Abraham, Messrs. A. E. Manaford, J. A. Nash, and E. L. C. Aitchison, are being opposed by a Labour ticket, consisting of Messrs. J. Hodgens and P. V. Burns. ' Mr. J. A.
