BILLIARDS
The V.M.C.A. snooker handicap contest was recently concluded, the winner being Mr. K. S. Henry (25), who defeated Mr. E. A. Josling (scr) in the final match by 75 to 31. Mr. Henry received as trophy a cue and case. There were sixtj'-four players in this contest, and the winner's performance is regarded as particularly meritorious in. that he has the use of qnlyj one arm, haying lost an arm as a result of wartime injuries.
A novel match will take' place in tha association's billiard-room next Monday' evening, when a team of returned maimed and limbless men will engage in a billiard* and snooker match with a team of exservice members ■of the V.M.C.A. Tha match will mark the occasion of the reopening of the renovated billiard-room. It is expected the visiting team will comprise ten men. The V.M.C.A. team will include Mr. Angus Duncan, ex-New Zealand champion, who will be called upon to score 250 to his opponent's 100.
