The legations are still in Peiping and international guards are stationed *fc*re, under ' the Boxer treaties, to gua*fl the legation, compounds and to protean ths railway, outlet to the sea at Tientsin., which is, moreover, a great manuf acfliNing and commercial city, as well as^sa world port> with many foreign inliabitants and investments.
