FAIR TO FINE
NO CHANGE IN WEATHER
The weather forecast issued at noon today indicates that the same type of weather that has been experienced during the last few days is likely to continue. Winds over the South Island will be variable, arid light to moderate south-easterlies will prevail from Cook Strait northward. Tho weather will be fair to fino generally, with cool to moderate temperatures. Some showers, however, are still probable on the East Coast and in the far northern districts of tho North Island. Except for occasional showers on parts of the East Coast south of East Cape, the weather yesterday was fair to fine generally, with, a cool southerly prevailing. An intense anticyclone still covers New Zealand, its centre this morning being off the East Coast of Otago. There are indications, however, of the development of a cyclone off the coast of New South Wales.
Auckland had fair weather yesterday, with a light southerly wind. Wellington's weather yesterday was fair to cloudy at times, a cool southerly prevailing. The weather in CKristchurch yesterday was dull, and misty rain, amounting in all to two points, foil in the morning find again last night. Dunedin. had mostly cloudy; weather with a southerly breeze.
